Intelligent Body Consciousness : A Proprioception Workshop

When we take a yoga class, we aren’t just moving our arms and legs, standing up and bending down. All the while the brain and receptors and muscles are in conversation, relaying information about the body’s overall position. This is proprioception– an understanding of where our body is living in space. Proprioception is one of the many things that allows us to move the body in specific and graceful ways. For some it’s a natural art, for others it is a skill that needs some developing, but either way it is an inherent aptitude we all possess. This workshop will offer you an opportunity to practice this tool of tuning into embodiment and self awareness.
